Who we are
Our story
Our dynamic team, founded by two friends, Florian Ruess and Dr. Benjamin Braun, continues to grow each year, alongside our expanding list of accomplishments. From humble beginnings as a small consulting firm, we have since become a prime contractor for the Lunar Gateway Habitation module internal secondary structures and are constantly striving to move forward.
Based in Berlin, Germany, we pride ourselves on delivering products and services that embody German engineering quality to clients worldwide. Our facility is certified with AS 9100/ISO 9001, and all our products are made in Europe. We work with a broad range of clients, from institutional and corporate to SMEs and New Space companies, offering flexibility and attractive cost structures to ensure optimal results and accessibility for everyone.
At Space Structures, our primary expertise and passion lie in creating structures specifically for space application.
Since our establishment in 2011, we have rapidly expanded our knowledge and capabilities, covering a wide range of industry segments, from engineering know-how to structural solutions. In 2016, we achieved a significant milestone by completing our first project in orbit, and since then, our orbit heritage includes more than 200 missions.

2014
Our office landed in Berlin!
After early days in Bremen, we move to the German capital.
2016
Mission to Mars
ExoMars 2016 mission Trace Gas Orbiter is a great success - our first mission actually in space - straight to Mars.
2017
SmallGEO
First project launched to GEO: Hispasat 36W-1 based on SmallGEO platform.
2022
Rideshare
Launching dozens of satellites on Launch Vehicle Adapter family by Space Structures.
2024
Launch of the new website
One of the most difficult projects to date.
