COLIBRIS is a state-of-the-art translation stage (moving trolley) for the Large Space Simulator (LSS) at European Space Agency in Noordwijk. This innovative system will enhance the capabilities of videogrammetry (VG) and thermography (IR) measurement instrumentation during thermal-vacuum tests.
COLIBRIS is composed of a curved beam, trolley, end plates, and harness made from CFRP and metal parts. The combination ensures an ultra-light structure with high stiffness and dimensional stability.
Key features: Enhanced measurement accuracy: the ability to move videogrammetry cameras allows for in-situ calibration, improving measurement precision. Improved temperature mapping: the mobility of the infrared camera facilitates temperature mapping from various positions and angles.
